About Me
I’m Yael.
I’m a grief doula and somatic anti-racism coach. I believe — because I have experienced! — that grief can be a gateway to transformation, and that if we have the courage to face our darkest moments, we can experience more aliveness than we ever thought possible.
My greatest joy is in accompanying others in the sacred work of grief, and supporting them through the journey of healing and transformation.
I have extensive training in the Hakomi method of somatic psychotherapy, and have studied under elder Grief Tenders, Somatic Abolitionists, and practitioners of energy work. More information on my training and teachers is below.

Training & Teachers
Graduate, Tamura Method (2022)
I completed a six-month training course under the tutelage of Wynn Tamura and Gal Szekely in the Tamura Method, a form of healing through conscious energetic touch.
Teaching Assistant, Hakomi Comprehensive Training Levels 1 & 2 (2021-2022)
Served as Teaching Assistant and Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Liaison for the Hakomi Comprehensive Training Level 1 and 2 courses taught by the Hakomi Institute of California.
Graduate, Somatic Abolitionism Training Program for Therapists & Coaches I & II (2021-2022)
Completed Resmaa Menakem’s 9-month Somatic Abolitionism Training Program (SATP) for therapists and coaches through Education for Racial Equity (2021) and the SATP II program to deepen my work in holding group spaces on the topics of racial justice and dismantling white body supremacy (2022). My teachers in this work were Resmaa Menakem, Carlin Quinn, Erin Trent-Johnson and Karine Bell.
Student, Entering the Healing Ground: Tending the Five Gates of Grief (2020)
Studied and practiced with grief tender and ritual leader Francis Weller.
Graduate, Hakomi Comprehensive Training Levels 1 & 2 (2019-2020)
Completed a 2-year Hakomi Comprehensive training program (325 hours), taught by Shai Lavie and Manuela Mischke-Reeds at the Hakomi Institute of California, under the leadership of Shai Lavie and Manuela Mischke-Reeds. Continued practicum under the supervision of Shai Lavie for 3 years.
Graduate, Somatica Sex & Relationship Coach Training (2018)
Completed a 9-month coaching training course through the Somatica Institute, under the leadership of Danielle Harel and Celeste Hirschman.
